I first began my journey in body work in 2010 attending a 200hr yoga teacher training with Inspiration Yoga at The Ayurveda Health retreat in Alachua, Florida. I quickly realized my passion to work with the body and attended the Florida School of Massage program attaining my Florida License in 2011. Since then I have worked alongside the wonderful Chiropractors and Acupuncturists at Chance Chiropractic Center, until recently moving my practice in July 2021 to the lovely House of Yin.
In my years of study, I have taken a few different certifications to further expand my growth and knowledge. I attended a few of Karen Ball's Reflexology courses from The Academy of Ancient Reflexology. I've completed intermediate courses in Herbalism with the Herbal Academy and self studied herbs for the last 6 years. My love for herbs came quickly during my first pregnancy which led me to study Ancient and sacred Postpartum care for mothers. I'm a certified Mother Roaster which are CAREGIVERS that nurture new mothers after birth while supporting their RECOVERY and JOURNEY into motherhood.
My practice has evolved even more after taking Biodynamics of Craniosacral with Giorgia Milne from Touch of Presence in her year-long intensive course. This work honors the lineage of Dr. Sutherland's founding Osteopathic work in the Cranial Field. Along with Dr. Rollin Becker writings with connections to Kashmir Shaivism and lovely articulations of Biodynamics from Dr. James Jealous.
The FOUNDATION PRINCIPLES of BCA (Biodynamic of Craniosacral Approach) is WHOLENESS as HEALTH. It's a guiding principle originating from the biodynamics of Osteopathy and Embryology and a view shared by other sources and traditions in science and spirituality. Differentiation within Oneness. Harmony amid Unity. Uniqueness in Totality. Providing touch while abiding in the disposition becomes a potent portal of transformation for self and others.
My approach with people is considerate, supportive, skilled, and intuitive. I invite you to connect with me to work together achieving your own individual needs.
BCST supports nervous system regulation and allows the resolution of conditions resulting from stress and trauma. I use an educated, gentle, non-invasive touch to engage with the expressions of health in the system as a whole.
